Mikhail Roginsky about Pavel Leonov
I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT LEONOV COULD BE INFLUENCED BY ANYONE AT ALL HE HAD GONE through the looking-glass and found there the reverse world where he stayed his entire life. Everything is there to be found - its own laws, its own sky, its own earth in this world. Leonov was and still stays Don Kichot of the Soviet era, instead of Dulcinea of Tobos there is the Soviet power, its falsehood, its propaganda. It is indeed a miracle that as a result there came such a tender, such a pure folk primitive as Leonov.
