Karara (Panferov) Mikhail V. was born in Moscow. He finished a secondary school there and began working as a graphic designer of printed materials. In 1986, he graduated from Extramural People’s University of Arts (ZNUI) in Moscow. Then, from 1989, he studied for two years in the studio of N. M. Rotanov. The world of the artist is imbued with a sense of the power of hierarchies, connections, orders, and always expressed in fetishes, symbols, and signs. They fill all the planes of his paintings, which makes them look like texts or messages. Mikhail Karara began to exhibit since 1990.
