Alexander V. Bushuyev (11.03.1965/St. Petersburg) - the artist of naive art.

Aleksandr V. was born in St. Petersburg. He graduated from Leningrad River College majoring in hydraulic engineering. In 1984 – 1992, he served in the navy. He was an engineer, a dredger commander, and a captain. He lived in one of the fishing villages on the shores of the Pskovskoye Lake. In the 1990s, he moved to town. He sold automobile parts, technical gases, motorcycles, cars, was fond of motorcycles. In 1999, he founded the Pskov Moto Mechanical Club «Positive Mechanics». Since 2007, he has been organizing the Pskov «Motosammit» events. He has got no professional art education, yet he began to draw at the age of 33.

In July 2011, in the village of Mitkovitsy in the Pechora district of the Pskov region, at the expense of the artist a cross was erected on the hill where a chapel used to be located before the war. Basing on photos found in the village archives, Bushuyev created the chapel project.

In the spring of 2012, he opened a art club “Phoenix” with a group of like-minded people, remaining their ideological leader and President to this day. The club is focused on the creative development of adolescents and young people.
