Victor Lisitsky

Victor N. Lisitsky (1939/Magnitogorsk) - the artist of naive art.

Lisitsky Victor N. was born in Magnitogorsk, the Chelyabinsk region. He studied at Magnitogorsk children’s sports school «Metallurg» specializing in gymnastics. In 1964 he graduated from Moscow State Pedagogical Institute named after N.K. Krupskaya. Honored Master of Sports of the USSR in gymnastics, five-time silver medalist of the Olympic Games, seven-time European champion in certain types of gymnastics multiathlon. Having completed sports performances, he worked as a CSKA senior gymnastics coach. Viktor Lisitsky retired as a lieutenant colonel. He is a referee of the All-Union category.

He taught at the Department of Physical Education of Military Engineering Academy named after V.V. Kuybyshev. He headed the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Chemical-Technological Institute named after D.I. Mendeleyev in Moscow (1985). PhD in Pedagogy (1982), Associate Professor. Since 2001, he has been actively painting. A participant of the Moscow group art exhibitions. Since 2008, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Viktor Lisitsky published three personal albums (2001, 2009, 2014). On October 13, 2015, he was elected Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. He lives in Moscow and Serpukhov.
